The Manhattan Chapter of the Knights of Rizal was chartered in 2026 and actively supports the social, cultural, and charitable work of the Consulate General of the Philippines in New York and the surrounding community organizations. The Chapter sponsors humanitarian activities, organizes social events, and fervently promotes the Rizalian ideals of education, social justice, and internationalism in New York City and beyond.
The Philippine Order of the Knights of Rizal has been an order of chivalry for over a hundred years, convened to honor the Philippine revolutionary hero Dr. Jose P. Rizal. Founded in 1911 and chartered by Republic Act 646 in 1951, its members include heads of state and United Nations officials, as well as dignitaries like HM King Juan Carlos I of Spain, HM King Yuhi VI of Rwanda, and Sir Theodore Roosevelt III. The Order is active across the globe with over 161 chapters and 25,000 knights. Throughout the century and across geographies, our creed has been Non Omnis Moriar (not everything in me shall die) to denote our unceasing belief in and fervent commitment to leaving the seeds of a better world for our children just as Rizal had done.
"When we know how to sacrifice ourselves for our duties and convictions, death does not matter if one dies for those one loves--for his country and for others dear to him."
